Mr. Mikes in Grande Prairie was looking for a roofing upgrade: one that would last and looked professional. They employed our residential roofing experts to upgrade their roof with minimal disruption to their business.
Originally, Mr. Mikes had a 3-tab asphalt shingle roof – 3-tab meaning each ‘shingle’ is made up of 3 tabs. This shingling is common due to its cost-effective pricing and easy installation.
Our team met with Mr. Mikes and recommended to replace the asphalt shingles with high-quality fibreglass ones. These shingles last longer on average and provide a similar but more durable option than asphalt shingles.
They also look professional and give a detailed intricacy to the roof.
Businesses never want to be closed. One of the biggest obstacles with any shingling job is coordinating our work with theirs, minimizing any professional disruptions and avoiding closures.
To successfully manage this, we worked closely with our client. We devised a plan to drastically minimize any interruptions. For Mr. Mikes, this meant they could upgrade their roof without losing business.
We also noted the structure of Mr. Mikes’ building, which includes an attic. Without proper ventilation, attics can fill with moisture. This can cause mould and mildew to form, and it can also drastically shorten the lifespan of a shingled roof.
To prevent any issues with the attic ventilation, our certified installers used smart vent technology. This technology will verify the roof receives proper ventilation, fending off any future issues or problems.
The final result is a strong and enduring full-laminate fibreglass-style roof. You can see our handiwork here, or you can always drive by the real thing in Grande Prairie.
